Fascinating vehicle history and bold architecture
The Museum for Historic Maybach Vehicles is an exceptional event location: it combines the historic flair of an old bicycle factory with bold, modern, extensive architecture and not least with the fascination of the shiny classic vehicles.
Around 20 vehicles from the famous cult brand Maybach are on display in the large vehicle hall – more than one tenth of all vehicles still in existence worldwide. The Neumarkt collector couple, Anna and Dr Helmut Hofman, fulfilled a life-long dream with the private Museum for Historic Maybach Vehicles when they opened a globally unique collection of the shiny luxury cars to the public in 2009. These precious items can be viewed in a chronologically arranged presentation and in the most varying conditions over an exhibition area of some 2,500 square metres in the ambitious new museum complex. Hardly any less spectacular than the historic vehicles on display is the generous, light-flooded building complex that is full of open space. The architectural masterpiece has developed from the historic industrial buildings of a former bicycle and motorcycle factory dating back to the “Gründerzeit”. The “Velocipede Factory Goldschmit & Pirzer”, formed in 1884 and subsequently known as “Express works”, was the first bicycle factory on the continent.
In addition to the extensive foyer there are four adjacent conference rooms of 160 to 420 square metres in size that can be joined to form a large room of approx. 720 square metres. State-of-the-art presentation technology is a matter of course. Mobile partitioning walls make it possible to create the fitting room situation for every event. There is an adjoining bar with outside catering on the sun terrace, catering is however freely selectable.
No matter whether conference or congress, press conference or ambitious company presentation – the atmosphere surrounding the historic luxury limousines enables unique and highly memorable events.
