Conferences under the banner of the white sausage
Centrally located in Neumarkt’s Bahnhofstrasse, just a few metres from the station, is the “White sausage imperium” of master butcher and host innkeeper Norbert Wittmann - known well beyond the boundaries of Bavaria and offering a complete world of experience all around the traditional Bavarian dish.
The new seminar centre of the Hotel-Gasthof Wittmann has two light-flooded conference rooms for up to 120 persons, equipped with the best media technology, and the “Metzger-Stub’n” that can be used as group room. The 1st Bavarian Butchers’ and White Sausage Museum – a place of interest of the highest category – can be booked for conferences, seminars or training measures. The fully functional 19th century butcher’s shop, with its nostalgic machines and apparatus, provides an original and out-of-the-ordinary setting for this.
A tour of the Butchers’ and White Sausage Museum enriches a conference in the Hotel-Gasthof Wittmann and rounds it off perfectly. A further possibility for out-of-the-ordinary incentives or accompanying programmes is an enjoyable short seminar in Wittmann’s “Neumarkt White Sausage Academy” that is known well beyond the region. Here, groups learn everything about the famous speciality and can even “make sausages” themselves – from onion peeling through to production of the sausage meat, filling and boiling –naturally followed by a tasting.
The *** Superior Hotel has a total of 64 beds in comfort rooms and suites for conference participants. From a culinary perspective, the Wittmann team also spoils its guests with traditional “Oberpfalz” cuisine and products from the own organic butcher’s shop – including as part of various conference packages. Here, visitors undoubtedly also learn some of the creative white sausage recipes from Norbert Wittmann.
