Glamorous parties in a historic setting
The ballrooms of the Residence in the Residenzplatz in the so-called Krümper stables are the somewhat smaller but no less representative complement to the historic Reitstadel situated opposite. Once part of the former four-wing castle complex, the building was a festivity and dance hall for court parties during the Count Palatine era, and was later used as stables for the Bavarian garrison.
In 1980 it was redeveloped simultaneously with the Residenzplatz and initially fitted out as branch of the Bavarian National Museum. Since 1998 the former Krümper stables that breathe the flair of history, have been used for events and exhibitions. In order to further increase the attractiveness of the premises, the owner, the Town of Neumarkt, completely redeveloped the historical building a second time in 2001.
The attractive foyer, segmented by pillars, and the ballroom on the first floor provide dignified glamour for conferences and congresses with up to 185 persons as well as for banquets, receptions or exhibitions in a particular setting. The ballroom has a stage, variable seating, a loudspeaker system as well as modern lighting and sound technology. A flexible bar in the foyer enables the setting-up of food and drink buffets for guests. The catering is freely selectable, the Culture Office will be pleased to provide contact addresses.
As an independent event venue, and also in combination with the rooms of the historic Reitstadel, the ballrooms of the Residence are a good choice if a festive atmosphere and a particularly stylish ambiance are desired.
